Ranger II alfalfa was developed directly from Ranger alfalfa for use under irrigated and dryland conditions from the northern plains to the winterhardy and moderately winterhardy intermountain areas of the west. Ranger II has the drought tolerance of Ranger with improved disease resistance for longer persistence, superior forage yields and adaption to a wider range of soil conditions.
